Final Destination by livingindarkness Final Destination by livingindarkness
This will probably be the last in my Greenlawn Series. I think I am going to take a break from infrared for awhile and then maybe go back to it later. I may use some of my infrared in photomanipulations and maybe a painting. I'm just kind of missing doing some art. And I don't want to stagnate in one area.

I took this image with a Dimage 7 and and Hoya IR 72 infrared filter. I kind of like how the leaves came out so pure white and the sky came out blue. I've noticed that every infrared shot is different in the color results. It probably depends on the camera settings and the lighting.

Really nice colors in this one. I just bought a Dimage 7 and Hoya RM72 my self - can't wait to go and try it out.

in some countries the color white means death, so the title works perfectly for the piece!!

Cemetaries are a trite overdone (and yet and always richly inspiring for capturing soulful vistas), but the infrared filter grants unto this image a certain surreal quality that I find to be rather appealing. Thus is it, to my eyes, uniquely original and rightly artistic.

amazing michelle how u do the sky :|
livingindarkness Featured By Owner May 2, 2004
It was shot in color mode. Then when I took it into photoshop I applied autolevels then I think I did auto color. After that I switched the blue and red channels in the channel mixer. Then I played around with the color balance. I was really happy how the sky turned blue and the leaves and grass stayed white. It doesn't always happen this way. Every shot seems to be a bit different. :)

so... i see a problem... Houston... bip....

the shot angle is not good.... the image center is confused... with the 2 tombs and ever centered the subject on the image. u must respect the rule of thirds. ok ?

 i hate all this rulez... but sometimes it's true ;)

Now my comment :

i luv this shot... colors are very great... and i luv ur visions of the nature

Oh this is my fav. from this serie...
The shadows on that thing in the middle are wild!
