Date With Death

Here are the two mantis mating that I was talking about in my journal. Thought you would like to see them mating.
This is the first time I have ever seen this before. I have seen a female lay her eggs but I never got to see this
happening. It was kind of boring actually. Not much movement, just the female with her legs straightened out
and the male doing his thing. I don't know if she ate his head, I kept checking on them but they were taking
a long time.

By the way, I took this with a Canon 10D and a promaster macro lens. Enjoy!
